Removal of trim panel on rear hatch 850

I had the same trouble trying to fix the rattles in my wife's wagon. I ended up taking the latch loose. It took a few minutes. Once I had the panel off, I was able to use a putty knife to pry the trim off around the latch. It was extreamly difficult to get it off. I believe I would have broken it if I had tried to do it without removing the panel first. I put the latch back on and then installed the panel. Good luck.
