Hmmmmmm....

"Witnesses reported that Nowicki was passing another northbound vehicle in a no-passing zone, swerved back into the lane to avoid an oncoming United Parcel Service truck and then struck a utility pole across the street from 13379 Ault Road."

I think Mum and Dad Nowicki might have done better to invest in driving lessions for Junior than the little Volvo.

In IIHS crash testing the S40 does better than the Ford Focus, and worse than the VW Jetta and Golf. Click HERE Not bad, but it's hardly the best in it's class.

In "real world" accidents the S40 fares better than the Subaru Imprezza WRX and worse than the A4. Click HERE Not the very best but not bad at all.

Still, I think it would have been more useful to teach their kid it's a bad idea to pass in "no passing" zones than to buy him an S40.
