I am new to this list. What a great resource! I just picked up a '95 850 Turbo Wagon with 165,000 miles on it and I love it. It needs a little TLC but after I iron a few problems out it is sure to be a great car for years to come!
The vent selector knob has no effect on where the air is directed. Also, the recirc and A/C lights blink when I turn on the car. I dumped the error codes from the ECC, 16 error codes at first check!!! The system allowed me to delete 6 of the error codes but 10 still exist. 5 of the existing errors show that all of the temperature sensors are open circuit or shorted to 12 volts (1-2-2, 1-2-4, 1-2-6, 1-3-2, 1-3-4). The other 5 existing errors show that all of the damper motor position sensors are open circuit or shorted to 12 volts (2-1-1, 2-2-1, 2-3-1, 2-3-3, 2-3-5). The error codes that the system allowed me to delete were 1-5-1, 2-2-2, 3-2-2, 3-2-3, 3-2-4, 3-2-5, if that's any help.
Since the sets of errors all match I think it's likely that there's a single failure point for each. This seems to point to the ECC control unit or its connection(s) as the culprit, doesn't it? Any advice will be appreciated!
Thanks,
Chris
