Small chance the hold downs slipped and can be adjusted. Most likely you need a new motor (mine did).

I personally just do the scheduled maintenance and don't worry. My dealer does a great job of thoroughly checking everything out at each service interval. Also, do not miss any scheduled service items with a Volvo, or you'll pay more later.
