What year is it? 850 1993

I have what my VIN claims is a '94. I ordered a part recently online from Volvoworld and it didn't fit. Found out that my car was actually made in 1993. That makes it an ALT1 when ordering part. Who know? All my paperwork sez '94. Luckily they were happy to change the part.
