well,
I have a similiar problem with my A/C. I brought it to the dealer. Dealer claims that my fron is little bit low and need high and low pressor sensors. After replaced two sensors and recharge freon. My compressor still not work.
I decided to jumper the A/C relay contacts. Compressor clutch engaged but squeaky sound and smoke came from compressor area. I imediately diconnect the jumper wire. Needless to say that my A/C still not working and I am losing faith in Volvo.
I checked the A/C relay coil and there is no voltage across with the AC switched on. What seems to be the problem? Is my compressor toasted?
