PNP Problem 850 1994

I changed the PNP about 45 days ago and today I went into limp mode till I shut off the ignition and restarted. Everything else was fine until later in the evening after a lot of stop and go, slow driving, and warm temperatures. I pulled the car in the garage and the up arrow all of a sudden started flashing after I placed the car in park.

Shut off and restarted with the same problem. I ran the codes in A-1 and got 3-1-3 which I understand to be PNP.

Any ideas why this would happen so soon after just replacing the PNP? On that same note, the cruise control hasn't worked since I replaced the PNP.

No other codes were showing in other sockets. The car had 113,000+ miles.

Am I looking at a bad (new) PNP or a major problem with my tranny. I bought it used at 72K and don't know if the tranny was ever flushed and/or filter changed.

How much does a new tranny cost?
