Tony,

The best way to find out if the 850 is a good choice is to consider all the information. The Archives are a good source as are owner opinions, buyer's guides and car mags.

There are hundreds of thousands of 850s and 70 series on the road. And there are, what, a handful of owners sharing their horror stories on this board. And I don'I doubt that these stories are true.

It's all part of the picture and it's good that a prospective owner has that vision. I'd bet that he can separate the wheat from the chaff though.

I tested the Mercedes C Class, BMW 3 series, Audi A4, Cadillac Catera, Lexus ES300 and SAAB 9-3 before choosing the S70. I've never regretted my choice.
