Keyless entry available for 850 base? 850 1995

My 1995 base wagon also didn't come with Volvo keyless entry nor alarm. Dealer installed a aftermarket alarm system which had keyless entry function. The aftermarket alarm didn't last for more than 4 years. I took the aftermarket alarm system out back in May this year. I then, intalled the alarm relay, receiver, siren, LED and the hood latch for the Volvo keyless entry/alarm system in my car. I got the receiver from ebay - a used one from a wracked 1995 turbo wagon. Used alaram relay, used transmitter (remote), new siren also from ebay. New driver side hood latch and the LED on the dash (right under the windshield) from Volvo dealer. All these components were missing in my base wagon. Now, I have the Volvo keyless entry and alarm.

The receiver is located next to the glove box compartment. You have to take out the glove box to check whether a black box is there (right side of the glove box). If receiver is not there, you should find a "green" connector in that area for the receiver. After you get the receiver, you also need to buy the nut and clip (1 each) from Volvo for holding the receiver in that area.

When you are going to get the remote, make sure it matches the receiver. The label on the receiver has the information of the FCCID which should match the one on the remote.

For Volvo basic alarm, you need to add alarm relay, siren, LED and driver side hood latch.
