How often should I have my Volvo serviced? I just had some work done, fuel filter, front bushings (serpentine and timing belts at apprx. 52,000k). Do I wait until the service light goes on? The oil was just changed and the independent volvo mechanic put a sticker on the windscreen indicating the oil needed to be changed again in 5000 miles--I am used to 3000 on my mazda.

I am really a neophyte when it comes to cars--I can change a tire and check the oil but that's about it.
