power steering racks

I'm still confused. I want to get a rebuilt P/S rack for my '96 850 nonturbo wagon. When memebrs say get only an OE rack, does that mean only get a Volvo-sipplied rack, or are we talking about a particular manufacturer. Maval and TRW both rebuild racks - don't they use OE cores?
