coolant question V70-XC70 1998

Hi all! I was going to flush the coolant in my '98 XC and was wondering if anyone out there uses anything besides the volvo "c" coolant? I'd like to avoid this pricey stuff and use a good quality aluminum compatible coolant like Prestone. Does volvo have a secret recipe or is it pretty standard? I'm way past warranty so that is not a concern. I would appreciate experience in this matter before proceeding! Thank you!
