Headlights & Dashlights don't work 850 1997

My headlights & dashlights don't work. Initially I fiddled with the on/off switch, moving it back and forth, and they came on- haven't worked since. The high beams do operate when I pull on the lever, but when I let go they won't stay on. If this is a problem with the relay switch how do I get to it?
