Further cruise control troubleshooting 850 1995

Ahh, so the line is potentially chafed or broken under the battery tray. I'll have to take that out again and look at it.

Now, if the line is okay there, what should my next course of action be? What part generally fails, and how can I ascertain what the failure is?

Is there an easy way to test to see if the vacuum pump is working?
