I have an 850...1997 and my odometer stopped at 105K...Bay 13 told me that it was probably the plastic 15tooth gear that broke and is a common problem. My car has no trip computer, just the standard odometer and reset trip meter. Bay 13 (volvospeed.com)gives you directions to get out the instrument cluster....my problem is finding that 15tooth gear part. The dealer will only sell you a new odometer and they have to set the odometer at the actual mileage after reading my car's computer.I hope this helps...let me know if you get any other info.
