The hidden equalizer settings are accessed by holding in the source button and then turn the radio on while still holding the source button for a couple more seconds, the menu should pop up. I found these settings online, they make a good starting point:

Front Low 1: 2
Front Low 2: 3
Front Mid: 4
Front High: 6
Rear Low: 6
Rear Mid: 5
Rear High: 6

You'll be amazed at the difference that it'll make. BTW these aren't my settings, although I do use them, I found them online.
