Is this PNP problem? 850 1996

I've read many threads about PNP switch but don't recall this sysmptom. On my 96 850 w/145k miles, the car felt like engine briefly stalled after hitting bump and the Check Engine light came on. It picked right up and ran OK. After resetting CE light by disconnecting battery, it failed again within few days with same symptom and now seems to briefly hesitate/stall often when going over bumps. I don't have any flashin arrows and have not read codes. Thanks.
