Glad you were able to solve it. In my car (not a XC) there is a thick electrical cable attached to the fog lamp assembly which somehow keeps getting torn loose, thereby breaking the assembly connector. I was hoping someone else might have had this problem b/c it's such a bizarre thing to have keep happening (3 times so far), and the dealer is now refusing to fix it under warranty.
