Flashing LEDs S40-V40

The amber LEDs of the recirculated air and the air conditioning buttons flash simultaneously a few times (at least 5x). I've only noticed this in the morning (only occurred twice so far - this morning and a day or two ago) a few minutes into my morning commute.
Does anyone know what my car is trying to tell me?
