Does check engine light turn itself off? 850

Check Engine light came on, indy shop was nice to pull codes and reset for free, it said mixture too rich. Light stayed off for 3 days, Came on, but went out on its own next day. Light still works. I see it on in start position like al others but doesnt stay on when running.
