It depends on which code your looking for.

Usually the check engine code will be A2. Common one is O2 sensor.
you'll probably get a 435 and maybe a 436.

A1 I believe resets your tranny codes (PNP fault)
Follow the instructions on how to reset it from BAY13 at www.volvospeed.com
