no reverse lights 850

my reversing lights don't work, i have checked the bulbs, after doing a search i read that i could be the pnp switch but i have had no other problems with the car it shifts normally and i have never had the ecu or the up arrow lights flash.

could it be something else?? Changing the pnp switch seems a last resort at the moment (no money!!!)
