I recommend using a good engine flush, such as made by AMSOIL or BG. (Yep, I'm biased, having used and sold AMSOIL for over 25 years). If you don't, or won't, flush, then watch for any sign of sudden increase in oil consumption. If you see this, change filter and top off. If the first batch of oil gets nasty looking, you might drain it at 4-5,000 miles.
With a good synthetic, there is no need for you to go to such a heavy viscosity.
Any xW-30 will give you more than enough protection, along with reduced drag.
