Road Noise S80 2000

Is, what I consider "excessive road noise", a "feature" of the 2000 S80 T6? It seems my first Volvo is not as quiet inside as a $44K (new) luxury sedan should be. Or am I being too auditorily (is that a word?) sensitive.
