Alarm LED Light On Dash Not Working S70 1999

I JUST PURCHASED A 99 S70. I NOTICED THE OTHER DAY THAT THE LED LIGHT ON THE DASH DOES NOT FLASH WHEN I LOCK THE CAR WITH THE REMOTE. WHEN I REALIZED THE LED WAS NOT WORKING I DECIDED TO CHECK THE ALARM. ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THE ALARM DOES NOT WORK. PLEASE HELP ME!
