door lamp switch

There is a self contained micro-switch inside each door lock assembly. Failure of the switch is common on 850's, but rare on the 70 series. The switch is servicable on 850's, but the 70 series door lock unit has no servicable parts and is replaced as an assembly. The common failure on the 70 series doorlock is breakage of the plastic linkage that actuates the power lock mechanism.
