Modifying grille 850 1995

heyy i was wondering if anyone could help me.i want to take off the diagonal bar across the grille and the volvo symbol on the front of my car.i looked at it yesterday and it seems that there are one-time-use connectors or something holding the diagonal bar on.if anyone can help me with this either post or if you can, email me at cwazyjjeff@aol.com.thanx a whole lot.
