A few minor problems; need quick fixes! 850 1997

Over the last few weeks, the following glitches has been bothering me and I need to fix in the most cost effective way(a.k.a-do it myself), if possible.

1-driver side window makes a screeching sound when going up or down. this happens about half-way thru the desend/accend. if i stop the window and close the door, the glass sounds like it's loose or may break. I notice a slight
"abrasion" mark on the window, but it comes off when i wipe it with a damp towel/paper. ANY IDEAS??

2-Lights on the shifter console went out. just the ones that indicate "PRND3L". Is this a do it yourself fix? I see no easy way to remove the cover! how many bulbs in there/ Radio shack have it? Suggestions?

3-When i apply the brake-pedal, the lamp on the console lights up. But wait, I had my brother press the pedal, and I checked the lamps; they all work: Park lamps, indicators, brake lamps, reverse! after a few stops thou, the console lamp don't light up when I apply the brake! A friend said it may mean I need new brakes, which I am planning to do this w/end, but I never knew the lamp indicates needing brakes. If so, if this for the front or rear? from a visual, I need rears. I was using those Kevlar/metallic from EA. Suggestions??
thanks for all help, BD
