K&N filter S70 1998

Dario,

I've a 1998 Volvo S70 GLE ( 168 HP ). I installed a K&N air filter last year or so. The fuel economy does improve a little, but not too much, especially if you are heavy-footed like me.

As for HP gain, it is also so little. The improvement I found was during quick pick-up and acceleration. I live at the top of a hill and found that after I installed the K&N air filter, I had more power going up the hill, which decrease the engine noise.

One advice, if you do get the K&N air filter is clean it every 3 months or 5K.
I got mine for $ 60 Cdn ( roughly $ 40 US ).
