Hi,
just to answer the query regarding how to clear the fault codes on the fenix 3b spi unit, how to do it is as follows:
1)connect the fly lead of the sd unit (self-diagnosis unit located on the suspension turret in the little black box)to socket #2.
2)press the button for between 1-3 seconds and the 1st (if indeed there are more than one!) fault code will flash its 3 digit sequence.
3)press the button once more for between 1-3 seconds (dont remove the fly lead)to read the next fault code (if one exists) and repeat this procedure until you read the first fault code a second time.
4)then press the button for at least 5 seconds and then the led should flash 1-1-1 indicating the memory is clear.
The above relates to diagnostic test #1 (reading and clearing codes)
Two more tests exist, the second to check crankshaft sensor signal etc and should be performed after the throttle cable has been removed and replaced.
The thrid test operates all the switches and actuators etc associated with the engine etc.
All of the above is explained (with a good deal more clarity) in the Haynes Diagnostic/fault codes manual.
hope this can be of some help (nothing worse than reading a code that does not actually exist after replacing something)
