Need a place for Service V70-XC70 2001

Hello All
I'm looking for an independent or a good service center for my 01 V70 2.4t. I live in Queens but am willing to travel - within reason and weekends a plus. The dealer service I've been getting seems condescending at best. Example - I picked up an upgraded radio from a salvage yard in CT ( www.toms4n.com ). Tried to get the dealer to install - the dreaded software change. I was told that in order to do it the radio would need to be sent to the mother ship to have programing wiped out for a cost of $300 plus the new software and the install - come on this is just a radio not a pacemaker. Sorry for the rant. Any and all help greatly appreciated.
