ABS/TRACS Light S70 1998

This is a serious problem on 1996 and 1998 models. In *some* cases, the 96's can be fixed with repairs to some of the crimps. But more often than not, it's the module itself (especially 1998, which cracks; the replacement apparently won't). Cost is $358 online, $416 dealer for the part.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE report this to the NHTSA - the only way Volvo will be forced to deal more effectively with this problem is if the NHTSA is able to collect significant amounts of data. Do it online in just a few minutes at http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/ivoq/default.htm
