Shift Microswitch 850 1994

I have that problem where I can't shift my car out of park unless I press the shift override button. The problem is very intermittent. I'm trying to confirm that this is the symptom of the shift microswitch and not the ignition switch or brake switch. Does anyone know how I confirm?
