Problem with c70 convertible top C70 2001

The convertable system in your car has onboard diagnostics, and storesm fault codes when there is a malfunction. Did the dealer read the codes? It has been my experience that when the Volvo top system stalls in mid operation, fault codes atre usually stored. Possible 1 or more motors or potentiometers are overheating. If a potentiometer does not report the corect info to the control unit, a code is stored. I would ask the dealer to check the system for diagnostic codes.
