Problems with this year? C70

I've heard that '98 C70's have a good deal more problems than the 99's and later. Is this true? If so, I don't think that I can make the stretch for a 99, so I'll be waiting at least another year for purchase. Let me know if this has some truth to it, and what areas it had the problems in. Thanks, I know I've been posting alot, but I want to find out as much as possible before I dive into another car.
