Temp sensor & plastic shield behind air dam C70

My temperature sensor came loose/broke off from the plastic shield next to the lower air dam. How should it be reconnected?
Pointing into the housing, from the passenger side towards the drivers side? (With the clip on the outside, and the wire on the inside?)

Also, the whole shield/housing is quite loose: seems to only be screwed in on the far left and right sides. It rattles/shakes forward and backward pretty easily. Should it snap in somewhere or are some screws missing?

Thanks!
