Compressor temperature sensor 850 1996

speedd and moregolf,

The suggestion to bypass the sensor is designed only as a diagnostic, not a permanent fix. I already know the problem is not low freon. In fact, bypassing the sensor results in constant cooling, indicating that the sensor is faulty - I did find it and the bypass is easy to effect. The question now is - does the sensor sit in the pressure stream or can it be replaced without dumping the refrigerant?
