How strong are the 1995 auto transmissions on the T5? 850

I have recently been driving my 95/96 T5 automatic in the L(low) position and love the performance it gives. I know that the T5 engine is strong and quite have to be driven a very high rpm.I use mobil 1 full synthetic engine oil and just had the timing belt and gearbox oil changed at 97000 miles.

What i really want to know, is the gearboxs just as strong as the engine or should i be careful when driving the car hard.Should i adjust my gear changes etc...
