Air Conditioning Problem 850 1996

I have just begun to experience the same problem on my '96 850. Works fine when I hit the freeway and set the cruise control, but stop and go is for about 3 miles or 10 minutes. The problem seems to occur more frequently when the A/C is on "normal" rather than "recirculate".

Had the unit recharged and did the "dye" thing. No leaks. The mechanics (Swedish Solutions in Solon, OH) are "stumped" so far, and have three week appt backlog, so I'll have to deal with that.

Please let me know if you come up with a cause and a solution.
