Can't remove ignition key from ignition switch 1993

1993 940 Sedan. I've read the messages from Nov 2000 and none work. Until this problem we had to simultaneously depress button on front of Shifter and "Shift Override" button at base of shifter slot to move shifter out of Park. Now shifter moves in and out of Park w/o depressing "Shift Override" button AND cannot remove ignition key. Also steering wheel doesn't lock so am thinking perhaps key not getting far enough to left. Any toughts? Tom J
