My point exactly

When it comes to synthetic oil, it seems the old adage about advertising applies: "Half of what they say is true...but you don't know which half."

(Mobil1 has altered its formula, giving the community of synth users the jitters. And nowhere can we find published independent research regarding these lubricants.)

(Some of what was on the SynLube site checks out - Pennzoil "synthetic" with a recommended change interval of 3,000 miles, for example.)

So if anyone out there has published independent research (with no links back to an Amsoil dealer site) please clue us all in.
