Check the maintenance records for two things: 850

1) A/C Evaporator replacement. Failure of the evaporator seems to be a common and expensive problem among the 850/S-V70 line of cars. (It leaks refrigerant and the system loses its charge.) It doesn't happen to every car, but it's worth making sure that you don't have to spend a grand or so to fix it yourself. If it's already been replaced, you should be fine. But be wary if that A/C is weak/non-functional or if the records show an excessive number of recharges. The A/C on these cars,(or at least ours), seems to be quite efficient and blows very cold when in good order.

2)Rear main seal replacement. Failure of the rear main seal around 50-60K miles was fairly common, but only on the earlier 5-cyl engines. Since you are looking at a 95, I would check into this. Similar to the A/C situation, make sure that either the seal has been replaced or the car isn't leaking any oil. This is another expensive repair due to the necessity of hauling the engine to get at the seal. Just a cost of FWD, I guess.

I hope you find a good one! We really like the 94 Turbo in our family. It's just been costly to maintain since we bought it new. Still goes like hell at 120k mi, though.
