Does Cryochem really work? 850

Well at 70,000 miles my air conditioner finally went. Putting new refrigerant in works for about a week. Can't detect a leak in the engine compartment, so I will assume that it is the notorious evaparator, which sits behind the dashboard. I don't want to replace this because of the high cost and the likely need for another future replacement.

Question: has anybody actually USED Cryochem/Cryoseal? Did it work? I.e., did it fix the A/C function and avoid the need to replace the evaporator?

I've searched the archives extensively but can't find a report from somebody who has personally used it.

Thanks for any feedback.
