I'm looking for a set of all-season for my '96 855T. My wife and I prefer smooth & quiet ride vs. want-to-feel-all-road-texture, especially with young kids. Of course, when I drive alone, I do push a bit. :)
My (tire) size is 205/55/16, currently Michelin XGT V4 (pretty bad in the snow, I hear. Will have a set of snow tires in addition).
These are what I'm considering (separated by speed rating).
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S (no review at tirerack, $$$)
BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDWS
Dunlop SP Sport 5000 Asymmetrical
Michelin Pilot XGT Z4
Bridgestone Potenza RE950
Dunlop SP Sport A2
Michelin Pilot XGT H4
Do they (tirerack) actually refuse to sell H-rated tires, if mfg'er recommends V-rating? If not, I'm inclined to purchase H-rating, mainly for comfort reasons (or, is this logic flawed?).
p.s. Couldn't search earlier posting, hence a re-port here.
