Several weeks ago I was run off the road and the impact from hitting a high curb dislodged my CD player so that the CD that was in the player played fine after the incident, but once I removed it (several days later) I could not insert any other CD. When I brought the car to the dealer to fix other damage caused by the curb incident, they also took a look at the CD player. I'm not sure exactly what they did, but they said they reset it and it worked fine for a while. Now, once again, it no longer accepts CDs and when I start the car, the CD player makes a mechanical noise for 2 seconds or so.
Any idea what the dealer did to reset the CD player and is this something I can do myself? Thanks for any help!
