2 Odd Issues 850 1991

the microswitch in the shifter that's causing your problem. That microswitch doesn't effect starting, all it does is release the shifter from Park when the brake pedal is depressed, nothing more. go to www.volvospeed.com and it will show you how to replace the switch....


As for ideling problem I think you must have some vacuum line leak or crack.. check all your hoses and line for crack.... and replace them..

2 ussues are none related..... you can not shifting becasue the micro switch need to be replace this happend to all 850 owner... easy job something you can do yourself.. do not take it to dealer or his will clean you out....
