engine starts after 2 attempts S70

My volvo S70 '98 always started the first time I turned the key. Now, around the time I got the spark plugs changed, it always takes two attempts to start the engine. I have to crank it once, then turn the key back then crank again and it starts right up.

any ideas of what this might be?
