Bilstein touring shocks and struts 850

Well I've lived with my Bilstein sport shocks and struts for two months now, and have decided that they're too firm for me. Guess I'm getting old. I'm wondering about experiences with Bilstein's touring components, available at IPD and elsewhere. How might they compare to the Volvo OEM sport suspension which I had, and found a bit soft (granted after 100000 mi), vs. shocks and struts from R series 850's. Are the R components very spring dependent and very different from the "sport" suspension option, (can I replace my shocks and struts only, and expect a ride similar to the R?) or is the sport suspension the same as that found standard in R's?

My apologies for flogging this horse yet again, but have really found little info regarding the touring Bilsteins in the archives, or a definitive answer as to whether the sport suspension option=R suspension.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Perry
