Tranny Flush 850 1996

I was reading a thread down a bit discussing changing the transmission fluid. I have heard different people say that if it has not been changed by 75k don't change it. I don't agree with this, but was wondering what everyone's thoughts were. I was going to start doing it annually...bought the car with 74k on it, and I don't think it has been changed. What is the best type of fluid to use? Any certain kinds to avoid?
