O2 Sensor Replacement and Bosh tool...Is it necessary? 850

I have a 4-3-5 and a 4-3-6 A2 socket error code. I am guessing that the front sensor is bad causing the rear sensor to be wide open. I plan on first removing both sensors and cleaning as recommended by Sin in a previus post. One thing i would like to know is if the tool from IPD is usefull (can you buy it locally in Canada) to get these sensors out or can i just as simply use a regular wrench.
Secondly, if i need to buy a sensor/sensors i understand that Bosch offers one that does not require re-wriring and is universal (much cheaper then Volvo replacent at $280 Canadian). Where can i get this item also.
Thanks
Jeff
